Hands-On Practical Training

After classroom instruction, students participate in live, instructor-led collection practicums using volunteer donors. Each participant performs complete collections while instructors observe and provide immediate coaching and feedback.

During your practical training, you'll gain experience with:

Completing collection paperwork
Performing complete urine collections
Bottle sealing procedures
Completing chain of custody documentation

Mock Collections and Proficiency Demonstrations
DOT qualification requires collectors to successfully complete proficiency demonstrations.

At VeriFi Charlotte, students complete multiple mock collections designed to reinforce classroom learning while meeting DOT qualification requirements.
